Bargain Network Hires Diana Wilson as Chief Financial Officer
SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., December 3, 2002 -- Bargain Network, Inc., a specialist in subscription-based consumer pricing information, announced today that Diana Wilson has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer and member of the company’s board of directors. The appointment of Ms. Wilson is the next step in the ongoing development of a truly world-class management team and board of directors, further solidifying Bargain Network’s position as a rapidly growing and innovative market leader.
Diana Wilson brings with her more than 15 years of financial and managerial experience. Specifically, Wilson was an executive at Santa Barbara-based Deckers Outdoors from 1990 to 1999, where she began as the CFO, and after taking the company public in 1993, was named its President and Chief Operating Officer. During this time, Deckers grew from revenues of $5 million to revenues exceeding $100 million.
Wilson, a certified public accountant, began her career in finance at the accounting and auditing firm of KPMG. Subsequent to Deckers, she founded and was CEO of business consulting practice Impossible.com, a full-service strategic development firm. Wilson also is a member of the board of directors of Airwalk, LLC.
Wilson is an active member of the local community. In 2000 and again in 2001, she served as the Executive Director for the non-profit Central Coast Venture Forum, an organization dedicated to fostering business development and growth in the Tri-county area. She is currently serving on the board of the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center and is a contributing member of the Katherine Harvey Fellows program at the Santa Barbara Foundation.
Wilson received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting, from University of Northern Colorado.
