Bargain Network Expands Into 40,000 Square Foot Goleta Facility

The New Lease Brings Bargain Network’s Total Office Space to 55,500 Square Feet And Establishes a True Bargain Network Headquarters

Goleta, California – August 9, 2002 – Bargain Network, the market leader in subscription-based consumer pricing information, announced today it has signed a lease to occupy an additional 40,000 square feet of office space at 6330 Hollister Ave, Goleta, California. More than tripling its office space, Bargain Network will now occupy 55,500 square feet in the Goleta area. Bargain Network currently employs approximately 500 staff members making it one of Santa Barbara County’s largest private employers.
“Our leasing of the space at 6330 Hollister Ave was precipitated by the significant growth the company has experienced during the last 18 months,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Christian Hunter. “It enables the company to establish a true headquarters for Bargain Network, where we can house all of our corporate operations under one roof, with the exception of sales, giving us the space to meet our employee growth projections for the next several years,” said Hunter.

“Our sales team will continue to work from our 11,500 square foot 7404 Hollister site. The transfer of all non-sales operations to the new headquarters will free up space at the Hollister building, which will undergo remodeling and will provide the needed space to grow our sales operations by 40 to 60 percent,” said Hunter.

This move also consolidates a few senior management offices that were located in separate offices on the Mesa as well as downtown in the Santa Barbara Technology Incubator.
The new Bollay facility was previously occupied by Ericsson. With options, the new lease extends through October 2010.
