Bargain Network Adds To Corporate Development Team with New Directors of Strategy and Corporate Development
Santa Barbara, California - June 24, 2002 - Bargain Network, the market leader in subscription-based consumer pricing information, today announced that Timothy Chin and Ryan Fell joined the company, both as directors of strategy and corporate development.
Fell, as director of strategy and corporate development, will support internal operations in developing projections as well as support the strategic direction and development of the company. Prior to joining Bargain Network, Fell worked for Santa Barbara Technology Group (SBTG), an early stage venture financing and management advisory firm for technology startups. As director of operations at SBTG, Fell was primarily responsibly for evaluating incoming investment opportunities, including performing competitive market analysis, providing feedback to entrepreneurs, making recommendations to the investment committee and performing due diligence on later stage financial transactions. Prior to joining SBTG, Fell worked as a general manager for Kinko's throughout Los Angeles. He completed his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California Santa Barbara and earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Chin, who has more than 15 years of strategic marketing and product development experience, will focus on helping Bargain Network acquire new members and retain existing members via a world-class product and service offering and beneficial business partnerships. He has previously worked at Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, NEC and NetZero in a variety of leadership roles. At NetZero, he led the research and loyalty marketing activities and helped grow the membership ten fold to 6 million members. Most recently, Chin worked for Dynamics Direct, an online direct marketer of streaming video, audio, music and animation, as their director of marketing and business development. His expertise includes researching and analyzing customers, creating innovative products and identifying, recruiting and managing strategic business development partners. Chin graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
