Phil Requist Promoted To Bargain Network Chief Information Officer

Santa Barbara, California, May 13, 2003 — Bargain Network, Inc., a specialist in subscription-based consumer pricing information, announced today that Phil Requist, 35, was named to the newly created position of Chief Information Officer. Phil Requist joined Bargain Network at the time of its founding and has served at the company for more than seven years, taking on positions of increasing responsibility during this time of rapid growth. Most recently, Requist was Bargain Network's Senior Vice President, Information Technology.

In his new role, Requist will be responsible for the company's entire software engineering and network systems. Requist joined Bargain Network as its Senior Database Administrator and Lead Programmer and has held ultimate responsibility for the design and programming of all of the company's information systems. He oversaw the development of Bargain Network's databases and systems applications, including media, sales and customer relationship management and the integration of these elements into a proprietary, best-of-breed enterprise system. In 2000, he was named Senior Vice President, Information Technology. Phil received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1990 and is a specialist in the ergonomic integration of technology.
