Santa Barbara, California, March 3, 2003
-- Bargain Network, Inc., (BNI) a leading provider of unbiased consumer services, including shopping comparisons and pricing information, announced today that Marcos Christodoulou has been hired as its Director of Compliance, charged with ensuring departments that have customer contact adhere to BNI’s high standards for quality service and care.

Chief Executive Officer Christian Hunter said, “Due to the rapid growth of our membership, the staff of Bargain Network has increased 50 percent from 500 to 750 employees in less than a year, and most of the growth occurred in the area of customer service. With membership growth trends continuing to ramp, it was critical to create a central position responsible for all quality assurance and compliance operations and initiatives. Hiring an executive with Marcos’ experience is key to maintaining our high standards of customer care and will enable us to continue to boast the highest levels of regulatory compliance in the industry.”

Said Christodoulou, “Bargain Network is at an inflection point in its growth, and how well it elevates the productivity, retention and quality of member services employees will largely determine the company’s long-term success. With this as my charge, I feel I can make a meaningful contribution to Bargain Network’s continued growth.”

Christodoulou’s customer service operations experience began in 1986, as a product line manager at Hewlett-Packard’s Customer Support organization, and continued with positions of increasing responsibility in customer services at Tandem Computers, Itron, Inc. and QAD. As QAD’s Director of Market Research, Product Management, and finally Corporate Strategy, his areas of responsibility expanded to include key roles in numerous mission-critical corporate initiatives. As an independent consultant since 1999 in the areas of market identification, strategic planning, and business development, Christodoulou has worked with numerous technology companies, ranging in size from startups to multi-billion dollar enterprise software vendor BEA Systems, and Wireless Knowledge, a Microsoft / Qualcomm joint venture.
